The beginning
The room changed at dusk.

Our first idea for VAELOR did not arrive at a drawing board. It arrived one evening in a small apartment, when a cold ceiling light made a familiar room feel strangely absent.

We began looking for something quieter: a pendant scaled for an ordinary table, with a glow that softened the room instead of flooding it. Nothing felt quite right. So we made the light we had been searching for.

That first piece taught us what still guides every VAELOR design: a light does not need to command a room to transform it. It only needs the right proportion, honest materials, and a warmth you notice most when the day is ending.
Material & form
Designed from the atmosphere inward.
We begin with a feeling rather than a silhouette: the pool of light across a table, the softness of a hallway after dark, the calm of a corner made useful again. Form follows that atmosphere.
Frosted glass, warm metals and tactile finishes are chosen for how they age and how they hold light. We refine every curve and proportion with our artisan partners until nothing feels decorative for decoration's sake.

Glass may hold a tiny bubble; brass will deepen with touch. We value the traces that make a material feel alive.

The first light
One pendant, made for one small apartment. Warm, understated, and exactly the scale the room had been missing.

A shared sensibility
Friends asked about it. Then people we had never met did too. We found artisan partners who understood the same language of restraint.
